Live now! A new and improved way to access your National Student Loan Service Centre (NSLSC) account
Starting in May 2025, your old NSLSC login information will no longer be valid. The NSLSC now uses My Service Canada Account (MSCA) for enhanced security and easier access to your student loan information. This system will verify your identity and serve as your single point of entry to manage your NSLSC account alongside other government services.
What is My Service Canada Account (MSCA)?
MSCA offers access to multiple government services and benefits into one portal, making it easier for you to manage them with a single sign in. Your personal information will be protected by advanced security measures. If you use any of the services listed below, you likely already have an MSCA:
- Employment Insurance (EI)
- Canada Pension Plan (CPP)
- Old Age Security (OAS)
- Canada Apprentice Loan
- Canadian Dental Care Plan
- Social Insurance Number (SIN)
You may have already created an MSCA to view or update your Social Insurance Number (SIN). You will now need to use MSCA as the single point of entry to access your NSLSC account for managing your Canada Student Loan and integrated student loans.
If you already have an MSCA, you’re all set! You can access your NSLSC account through this same portal.
Don’t have an MSCA yet? Register now! You have 3 options to create and access your MSCA:
- GCKey
- Your online banking sign in information (Sign-in Partner)
- Provincial Sign-in (Alberta and British Columbia only)
Registering is easy! The NSLSC already uses GCKey or a Sign-in Partner for account access. You can use the same credentials for your MSCA. Just validate your identity (more information below) to link them to MSCA.
You will need your SIN, Birth Registration Number, or Unique Client Identifier to complete registration.
Validating your identity is a one-time action for new MSCA users. Once registered, you will not need to go through this process again. To verify your identity, you have two options:
- Interac® verification service: Register and access MSCA immediately if your financial institution is listed below:
- BMO
- CIBC
- Desjardins
- RBC
- Scotiabank
- TD
- Personal Access Code (PAC): If you do not bank with any of the above institutions, you will need to request a PAC from Service Canada, which can take up to 10 business days to receive by mail. Register today to avoid delays.
