Register your online account
The National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC) is now integrated with the My Service Canada Account (MSCA) portal to enhance its identity verification process, optimize security, and streamline access to your student loan information. This registration process applies to all NSLSC online users. To access your online account, you must register for MSCA.
If this is your first time receiving funding, you will need to complete two steps:
- Register your account
- Complete the electronic version of your Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA)
What do you need to register?
You have 3 options to create and access your MSCA:
- Sign-in Partner: Use your existing online banking information
- GCKey: Use a unique Government of Canada credential
- Your Provincial Sign-in (Alberta and British Columbia only)
You will need your Social Insurance Number (SIN), Birth Registration Number, or Unique Client Identifier (UCI) to complete your registration.
Validating your identity is a one-time action for new MSCA users. To verify your identity, you have 2 options:
- Interac® verification service: Register and access MSCA immediately if you have an online banking account with one of the financial institutions listed below:
- BMO
- CIBC
- Desjardins
- RBC
- Scotiabank
- TD
- Personal Access Code (PAC): If you do not bank with any of the above institutions, you will need to request a PAC from Service Canada, which can take up to 10 business days to receive by mail. Register as early as possible to avoid delays.
If you already have an MSCA, sign in now.
